About

I have 20 years of reporting, writing, and editing experience that include working as a journalist and managing corporate communications. I have a strong, distinct voice and will write almost anything but poetry (though I will write haiku if pressured).

Writing is like driving, shifting gears to reach a place. I’ve always taken pride in my ability to shift voice and platforms, whether it’s writing news briefs for the web, executive speeches in bullet points or a printed newsletter. My work has appeared in The Washington Post, US News & World Report, The Week, Catapult, Guernica, The Los Angeles Times, Lonely Planet, Newsweek, Self, Elle, Health, More, the United Press International, WebMD, and The Associated Press. I freelance for prominent national associations, nonprofit organizations, creative agencies, and universities, which are listed on my Clients page. Visit Contently to see part of my portfolio. Resume and corporate writing samples, such as annual reports, are available upon request. Visit my LinkedIn profile to see more of my background and who recommends working with me.

But enough about me. Let’s talk about you. What’s your story? Contact me:
