These are my strengths. I have more than 16 years of reporting, writing and editing experience that includes a decade as a journalist contributing to several leading publications and news wire services, and another six years of experience in corporate communications management. I specialize in institutional messaging and strategic communications, and research, write, edit and manage print and web content for promotional materials ranging from publications and press releases to brochures and blogs. News and feature writing, leadership messaging, social media, speech writing, creative writing, literary journalism, researching and writing press releases…I’ve done them all. Throughout my career, I have contributed to major magazines and newspapers including Newsweek, People, Self, Elle, Health, More, the United Press International, WebMD, and The Associated Press, and currently consult for several prominent national associations, nonprofit organizations and universities. In 2012, I returned to full-time freelancing to launch my own business, Katrina Communications. Resume and writing samples are available upon request.
